This was the year Jonathan was born. He was Saul's son.

God told Samuel Saul was to become king. So Samuel anointed Saul.

After Saul was anointed he became the first king over Israel. Saul actually wasn't too fond of the idea of being king at first. He started out good but he went downhill fast.

Saul was doing good as a king until now. God gave him instructions but Saul chose to disobey and the Lord wasn't too impressed.

David was born. He goes onto become a very important person in the Bible and is the future king of Israel.

Saul is straying further and further from God so God instructs Samuel to anoint someone new to be king. David was who God chose so Samuel went and anointed him.

A giant threatens Israel and challenges someone to come fight him. No one steps up until David, a shepherd boy, volunteers. He only brings stones and a slingshot and defeats and kill the giant Goliath.

David and Jonathan, King Saul's son, become very good friends. The Bible speaks about what a deep friendship they had. Jonathan even helps David escape from his father Saul.

Sauls is chasing David trying to kill him. So Jonathan helps save David from Saul while they're in the field.

He started out very well as king but in the end he strayed from God and relied on his own power and Judgement. So God left him and he died in battle in the end along with Jonathan.

Jonathan went into battle with his father. He's ultimately killed while in battle.

Now that Saul had died David assumed his role as king. He also had his faults but was a much better king than Saul

David conquered Jerusalem. He also brought the ark with him.

David was a very good king but he did have his faults. David lusts after a women named Bathsheba and even has her husband killed.

Davids one son, Amnon rapes his daughter Tamar so his other son, Absalom kills Amnon for doing that, then David banishes Absalom and then Absalom tries to overthrow David but it doesn't work. And in the end Absalom's hair gets caught in a tree and he dies.

After Absalom rose up against David, another guy named Sheba did and he was even more dangerous but then Joab, Davids, commander met this lady and told her what was happening. She agreed to cut off his head and throw it over the wall to Joab. And that's what happened.

David took a census of his people. God was not impressed because Satan was the one who told David to do that and he listened.

David's reign comes to an end. So his son Solomon gets anointed.

David was a good king, not perfect for sure, but God loved him deeply and called him a man after his own heart. In the end, like almost all people, David died.

Solomon is king now and the Lord gives him anything he asks for and he asks for wisdom. Then 2 prostitutes come with their problem about who the real mother of a baby is. And Solomon shows great wisdom and compassion in figuring it out.

Over a span of 7 years Solomon builds the temple. David was unable to to build the temples because of his warfare.

Jeroboam worked for Solomon. The prophet Ahijah told him that God would take 10 of the tribes and give them to Jeroboam. When Solomon heard this he tried to Kill Jeroboam, so he fled to Egypt.

Rehoboam was Solomon's son. Because of Solomon's sin, God cast judgement against Solomon's family. After Solomon died, Rehoboam became king.

Rehoboam taxed the people, worked the people, and harmed the people twice as bad as Solomon. Only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin continued to follow Rehoboam. He reigned in Jerusalem for 17 years.

After Solomon died he returned. The other 10 tribes followed him. To keep the people from going back to Jerusalem, he set up places for the people to worship their idols. Obviously this didn't impress the Lord so his family didn't continue on in the royal line. He reigned for 22 years.

He beat King Jeroboam because they relied on God. But his heart wasn't fully to the Lord. He walked in the sin of his father.

He was king in Judah. He reigned for 3 years. He had 14 wives and a lot of kids.

His father was Abijah. He was king in Judah after him. He reigned for 41 years. The Bible also says he was diseased in his feet when he got old.

He was a very good man. The Bible says that his heart fully belonged to God. He also did what was right in the sight of the Lord. And he commanded Judah to seek after the Lord also.

Walked in the way of Jeroboam. God sent Jehu to prophesy against him. God said since Baasha caused the people of Israel to sin his house will be swept away.

The son of Baasha. Also caused Israel to sin which did not please the Lord. Only reigned for 2 years. His commander, Zimiri, came in when Elah was drunk and killed him.

Ruled in Israel after he killed Elah. When the troops found out what he did they sent Omri to take his place. When Zimiri saw what was happening he went into kings house and started it on fire and died. He only ruled for 7 days.

Was made king by Israel after they found out what Zimiri did. Only half the people of Israel followed him at first and the other half followed Tibni. But Omnis people overcame Tibnis people, so Omri then ruled over everyone. He reigned for 12 years and was more evil than all the kings before him.

The son of Asa. Ruled after him. Was a very good man that seeked the Lord. He walked like David did.

Was the son of Omri. Did even more evil in God's sight then all the other kings. Married Jezebel and worshipped Baal. Ahab angered the Lord more than any other king before him.

Wanted a man named Naboth's vineyard. He wouldn't give it to him so he went and sulked. Then his wife Jezebel had Naboth killed so Ahab could have it.

Sent out Officials into Judah to teach the people the Laws of God. He brought the fear of God into the people again. Since God was with him no one really brought war against Jehoshaphat.

One time when Elijah brought a message to Ahab. When Ahab heard it he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and fasted. He humbled himself before the Lord which kept God from destroying him, but God still did punish him for his evil doings. And he didn't really change after this, he still did evil.

Made an alliance with King Jehoshaphat. They went into battle together and king Ahab died during it. His son Ahaziah took his place as king.

Made an alliance with Ahab. Went into war with him. When he was being attacked he called out to God and he saved him. Ahab died in this battle

During Jehoshaphat's reign he mostly did what was right and followed God faithfully. But at the end of his reign he joined with the king of Israel, Ahaziah. They made ships together. Ahaziah was evil so God told Jehoshaphat that the ships would be destroyed.

After many years of Elijah prophesying God took Elijah up to Heaven in a whirlwind. His "student" Elisha took his place in a way and was kinda the main prophet.

The son of Jehoshaphat. Was the first born so he got the throne and then killed all his brothers. He married the daughter of Ahab and was evil like the kings in Israel. God gave him an incurable disease and he died after 2 years of having it.

The son of Nimshi. Was chosen by God to destroy the house of Ahab. Killed Joram, Ahaziah, (sorta Jezebel) and some others.

He was evil and walked in the way of the house of Ahab. His mom, Athaliah, was his counselor in doing evil. He was killed by Jehu when he went to visit Joram.

The mother of Ahaziah. After Ahaziah died she killed the (what she thought) was the rest of the royal family and became Queen. A lady named Jehoshabeath took one of his sons named Joash and hid him in a nursery for 7 years. Then when they finally revealed that he was the kings son he was anointed and Athaliah was killed.

Began his reign was he was 7 and it lasted for 40 years. He followed God when Jehoida was alive but kinda stopped after Johoida died. In the end his servants killed him because he killed Zachariah.

There was a widow whose kids were gonna take away because she had debt. So Elisha told her to go borrow vessels from her neighbors. So she did that and then he filled all those vessels with oil so she could sell them to be repay her debts.

There was a shunammite woman who wanted a son so she asked Elisha and God gave her a son. Then that son died and she asked Elisha why God would let that happen. And Elisha came and raised the son from the dead.

He reigned in Israel for 17 years. Did evil in God's eyes and was destroyed by Syria.

He reigned for 16 years. He destroyed Judah and captured Amaziah.

Started ruling at age 25 and reigned for 29 years. He killed the people who killed his dad. Started worshipping gods so God let Joash and Israel capture him and defeat Judah.

He reigned for 40 years. He did evil in God's eyes.

He became king at age 16 and reigned 52 years. He did what was right but didnt get rid of the places to offer sacrifices to false gods. He also became prideful and tried to burn incense to the Lord (he wasn't supposed to because he's not a priest) Because of that God made him a leper but he didnt take away his throne.

Only reigned for 6 months. Did evil in God’s eyes and followed in his father, Jeroboam's, sin. Was killed by the next king, Shallum.

He killed Zechariah, reigned for 1 month then was killed by the next king, Menahem.

He reigned for 9 years. Did evil in God's eyes. Judgement finally came to Israel for walking in evil for so long and God exiled them.

He reigned 29 years and did right in God's eyes. He took down the high places and destroyed idols. He trusted and held fast to God

He became very sick and Isaiah told him that he was going to die. Then Hezekiah cried out to the Lord and he heard his prayer and healed him.

Became king at age 12 and ruled for 55 years. He did evil in God's eyes and rebuilt the high places that his dad tore down.

Was very sinful and rebuilt many idol alters. He caused Judah to sin so God brought much destruction. But near the end of his life he repented and he finally realized that the Lord is the only God. And he made Judah worship God again.

Became king at age 22 and was king for 2 years. He did evil in God's eyes and was sinful like his father Manasseh but he did not repent. And was killed by his servants in the end.

He began ruling at age 8. He did right in God's eyes. He tore down idols and followed the Lord pretty faithfully. They also found the book of the Law. He was shot in battle and died.

Became king at age 23 and ruled for 3 months. He did evil. The king of Egypt removed him from the throne and took him to Egypt, then changed his Jehoahaz brothers name and made him king.

Became king at age 18, and he did evil. He was taken prisoner by Nebuchadnezzar, who then made Jehoiachin's uncle king.

Was made king by Nebuchadnezzar at age 21 and reinger for 11 years. He did evil in God's eyes, rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar, and harden his heart towards the Lord. He caused the people to further stray from God.
