After about a 15 minute helicopter ride over to the small hospital in Moab, Utah Aron steps out and walks over to the nurses and tells them what he has done, They both were very shocked on Aron's mental state for what condition he was in. After a shot of morphine then passing out they transferred him to Grand Junction, so he could have his surgery in a more equipped hospital.

Page 33. This part of the novel is important because this is the first time that Aron moved. He moved to Colorado when he was twelve, this then started his thrill seeking side of him to go skiing and mountain climbing.

Page 45. He went camping at Phelps lake. He struggled to walk through the deep snow without snowshoes. After reaching his camp site he had a very intense run in with a black bear. After running from the bear and managing to scare it away with it taking Aron's food pack he go some sleep. Eventually the bear came back and destroyed his tent. He then had to run back to his truck while the black bear was hot on his trail. From time to time when the black bear go to close he had to throw rocks at it.

Page 86. Aron succesfully climbs Quandary Peak solo. He struggled through a tough storm but was able to climb to the peak and back to his skis. Where he then skied to his truck.

Page 84. Aron and his sister go camping at the waterfalls of Havasupai Canyon. Aron meets friends there and hikes with them the next day where he decided to canon ball into the fast moving water for a good picture. Unfortunately the water was so cold and moving so fast he would've drowned if his new friends hadn't thrown a rope to him to save him.

Page 90. Aron group climbs for the first time with experts. On Mount Rainier Aron and his landline partner he was attached to by rope for safety had to quickly run as hard as the could out of the way of a engine sized boulder that came flying down the mountain.

Aron solo climbed Castleabra point. This climb was very important because this is the 111th centennial peak Aron has climbed. His goal is to climb all of the major mountains in the US. 52 mountains total.

Page 97. Aron quits his job. He quits his job just to continue his path to climb all the mountains in the us.

This part of the novel Aron is reflecting back on what he had said to one of his roommates before he left for Blue John canyon where had his accident. He only told her that his Holy Cross trip was canceled and he was going to do some canyoning in Moab Utah. No specific agenda that he normally leaves with his friends and that's why it took them a very long time to find out where he was.

Page 23. Aron falls off the boulder he was rock climbing on and the rock falls and crushes his hand against the wall. This part is extremely important because this is the basis about what the whole novel is about.

Page 67. Aron was able to rig up a harness so he could sit. This was very important because then he was able to take a nap and he didn't have to stand all the time.

Page 100. Aron was able to make a pulley system to try to lift the rock. Unfortunately the pulley would only lift the rock a little bit and then it would settle back down further on his hand/wrist.

Aron had very little water left so he started to collect his urine. After letting it settle and distill in his container he decided to take a sip. That shows how desperate Aron was for some water.

Aron was in such a bad state of mind and so fed up that with out even thinking about it his started to prepare to cut off his arm to free himself. He had made a make shift tournaqit and wrapped it tightly around his bicep and dug the knife deep into his forearm till he hit the bone. After hitting the bone he gave up because he knew there was no way he would be able to cut through his bone with such a dull knife.

Its now day four after getting his hand crushed by the rock and trapping him. Aron has drank all his water and now he has the last bite of the bean burrito with a couple gulps of his own urine. The starts the downward spiral of the life of Aron Ralston.

Its Tuesday mroning when his friends and boss start to get worried about Aron. This is because he had missed two parties he said he go to and also missed work on Tuesday. So by that evening his friends called the police to fill a missing persons report. That is when the search for Aron starts rolling.

Six days into Aron's accident he has finally solved the riddle in how to free himself. By pushing all his weight up with his arm pinned he was able to apply enough force to break both bones clean off. Therefore being able to then cut his arm off.

Around 9:30 on may 1st the found Aron's truck in the parking lot for the trail to Blue John Canyon where Aron was trapped. After the park wardens found his truck the notified Aron's mom who was very thankful and had some relief.

After Aron made the risky rapel down the sic story cliff, find water, hiking 6 miles ad finding other hikers the helicopter came around and landed in the canyon and the picked Aron up and flew him to the nearest hospital, which was a small hospital in Moab, Utah.

It's 3:45 May 1st, 2003 when Aron says to himself that it's finally over and he's safe now. Even though his huge recovery and many more surgeries because his dirty knife gave him a nasty bone infection that almost killed him. Six months after his accident Aron and some friends hiked down Blue John Canyon where the boulder was. They then spread-ed his ashes from his cremated right hand. Aron manage to make a full recovery from his brutal accident and managed to climb all 52 peaks a year after.

After breaking his arm he puts his fingers in his arm searching for what to cut first and what to cut last. He finds most of the main arteries and cuts those last to minimize blood loss. He slices through tissue and muscle first.

It's 11:32 May 1, 2003 when Aron Ralston cuts through the last of his arm tissue and frees himself from his imprisonment. After freeing himself his is the mos excited he has been since pinning his arm and almost passes out. After freeing himself he grabs the essentials and makes he way down the canyon to a huge drop off that he barely manages to make it down.

Aron solo climbs Capitol Peak. This was the biggest and most dangerous mountain that he has ever climbed on his own. So after he made it to the top and back down on his own it was a huge accomplishment in his goal to climb all of the mountains in the US.

Page 93. Aron travels to Japan with his friends. They all successfully climbed mount Fuji and back down.
