The monster Grendel attacks Herot. He does so due to their loud, and disruptive celebrations. (Lines 30-40) -
Beowulf travels to kill Grendel. He set his destination to help them, with the help of his men. -
Beowullf, and his men are waiting for the monster to come so they all go to sleep. As expected grendel does come, he kills one of Beowulfs men, and reaches for Beowulf. Beowulf rips off his arm, and is victorious

She kills one of Hrothgars danes. Then steals back Grendels corpse. -
Beowulf boasts to everyone in herot again. He takes Hrunting Unferths sword with him to kill grendels mother. -
Beowulf confronts Hrothgar King of the danes, and asks for permission for his quest. He then proceeds to give his boast, and he is given his permission. -
Everyone in herot celebrates the Death of Grendel. Praising Beuwolf as well. -
Beowulf finds himself in the lair he tries his sword but his weapons are noneffective. He is getting beat until he finds an enchanted giants sword. -
Beowulf goes to fight the dragon. Wiglaf comes to Beowulf's aid, and together they kill the dragon but Beowulf dies in the process. -
Beowulf is chased by all sorts of other monsters on his way down to her lair. He has to dive for 4 hours to the muddy bottom of the lake.
