Beowulf, with his group of Geatish warriors, begins sail across the sea to the land of the Danes to fight the monster Grendel.
Beowulf is wonderfully received by Hrothgar who gratefully accept help. -
When Grendel attacks Heorot , Beowulf decides to battle im in hand-to hand combat. Beowulf tears Grendel's arm off, causing him to bemortally wounded.
Beowulf is thanked by King Hrothgar, who gives him rich gifts and hosts a feast in his honor. -
Beowulf falls asleep after the feast. During his sleep Heort is once again attacked by Grendel's mother
Beowulf tracks down Greden's mother to her lair -
Beowulf slays Grendel's mother with a sword he found in her lair
Beowulf returns to the surface with Grendel's head as his reward
Beowulf receives rewards nd thanks from King Hrothgar. -
He and his followers return to Geatland.
Beowulf shows the gifts he has gotten from Hrothgar to Hygelac. -
After Hygelac is killed in battle, Beowulf becomes the king of the Geats and reigns for fifty years.

Beowulf kills the dragon, but receives a great wound druing the fight. -
When Beowulf hears about the Dragon he fears he might die when he goes to fight the Dragon

Beowulf asks one of his people to bring back some of the dragon's treasure back with him.
Beowulf gives his golden necklace to Wiglaf
Beowulf dies and his body is burned on a funeral pyre
