I have worked for several years to develop and test this technology and to prove that we can reduce support travel world-wide by developing a remote tool

Starting to build this into a usable kit see photos In the beginning I had to convince Renee Kersey VP - to allow me to build a few proto-types and to start moving forward wtih field testing. I had to do ALL of the work on my own time and received very little internal support of the idea and concepts. I had to have my wife help me build and test the initial kits.

This was done with very low involvment and only small group interested in using the product at this time. Since the product was not invented/developed from Webster, NY - it is very hard to get them to fully endorse or encourage usage of the technology.

When I met with PARC they were working on a "Modeling Tool" that allowed engineers to see a virtual machine - but had no video support. My presentation convinced them to use video to develop a better remote support tool. I explained that a headmount display was my ultimate solution.

However - during these times it was only myself with a very small group of supporters that kept this program moving foward. Usually on my own time.

They have contacted me on a couple of occassion to have these reports ready so they could show unique ways we provide service to our customers. This was interesting since it was only a few people who promoted and encouraged the use of this product.
