    The Battle of Britain consisted between Germany and Great Britain. This battle was Germany's attempt to get Great Britain out of the war. This Battle consisted for a month of Germany bomber raids on British cities. If it wasn't for the strength of the Royal Air Force, Germany would have won the battle.

    Operation Barbarossa

    After Germany broke the Non-Aggression Act with the Soviet Union, the Axis Powers launched Operation Barbarossa; the invasion of the Soviet Union. At first, the Germans captured many Soviet cities, but as winter fell, they were pushed back by the better-equipped Soviets.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    In 1941, Japan made a surprise attack on the navy base in Pearl Harbor to cripple their fuel supply and keep them out of the war. They were able to destroy and damage multiple U.S. warships in Battleship Row, with the USS Arizona taking the worst damage. Eventually, the American crewmen managed to fight them back. Even though the battle was a success for the Japanese, they failed at destroying the fuel depots. This surprise attack caused the U.S. to declare war the next day.

The battle is regarded as one of the largest and bloodiest battles in history. Eventually, the Soviets managed to beat the Axis, and took back control of Stalingrad.

    Operation Husky

    Operation Husky was the American Invasion of Silicy. Silicy was an important target for the Allies, as taking it would allow them to be able to transport supplies through that area. Although then Beach landings were a bit of a mess, the Allies managed to take the beach, and eventually forced the Italians and Germans to retreat from the island. This was the beginning of the end for Italy's role in the war.

    D-Day (Operation Overlord)
    Operation Overlord was the biggest amphibious landing in history. The Allies (the U.S., Great Britain, and Canada) attacked multiple beaches off the coast of Normandy. One of which was Omaha Beach, which was attacked by the U.S. In the end, the Allies managed to capture the beaches, and were now able to begin the massive offensive against Germany on their own land.
