Sam Adams and John Hancock were trying to be captured by the British troops but they escaped. Paul Revere warned Sam Adams and John Hancock that the British were coming and saved their lives. Roughly 90 patriots died.

Joseph Warren was killed at Bunker Hill.

It was considered a turning point because it helped the French realize that they can aid the patriots in the war.
