    The battle of Midway was a fight between the Japanese and Americans over seas. It occurred just 6 months after Pearl Harbor. It would last a few days and would end in an American victory. This would change the tide of war in the pacific.

    Though the main battle was over after just a day, they still fought over the next two. The Americans eventually overwhelmed the Japanese and destroyed all of their battleships over the course of the next couple days. They finally retreated after being ordered by Yamamoto, a Japanese admiral.
