Bartholemew Gosnold was born in 1572 in Grundisburg, Sufflock and grew up there until he atternded college at the University of Cambrige in the late 1590s.

after college, gosnold commanded on a voyage to the new world and hit lower maine sometime around 1603 until they sailed farther up torwards cape cod. well he was there he gathered lumber, sassafras and furs and brought them back to his hoimetown.

after his visit to maine gosnold worked energetically to promote a newfound colony in north america after his return to england.

after the colony came together Gosnold was appointed as a new member of the Residents Council for the settlment.

after the settlment was beggining to thrive an outbreak of malaria hit and gosnold got the worst of it. it wasnt until 2003 when hiss remains were found just outside of the Historical Settlment he helped create.
