Pre-inaugural Events
On the evening of January 19,2013, President Obama and Jill Biden hosted the kids Inaugural : "Our Children. Our Future". These event took place in Washington Convention Center. Katy Perry, Usher and members of the cast of GLEE honored military families in concert. -

National Day of Service. Americans across the country participated in service projects in their communities to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A Service Summit was held on the National Mall from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. -

First lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, attend children's concert at the Washington Convention Center to celebrate military families. -
The Swearing-in Ceremony
The President and Vice President each participated in a small private swearing-in ceremony. Took place in the White House at 11:30 am. -
