"I Have A Dream" Speech
Civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. delivers his speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial. He delivered it because he wanted to let everyone know that people should be treated equally and everybody should have the same rights. Many African Americans went out to watch the inspirational speech. -
Obama's Childhod
In 1964 he moved back to Hawaii to move in with his maternal grandparents. He enrolled in Punahou Academy, and got academic honors. He moved back to Hawaii because his parents got divorced and his dad died in a car crash. -
Obama's College Years
He moved to Chicago college and met his wife Michelle Robinson at a law firm. He first worked as a civil rights leader, then joined Barnhill and Galland Law Firm. He moved there because he wanted a job and wanted to get invovled in politics so he helped organize voter registration for Bill Clinton. -
Obama's Studies at Harvard
He begun his studies at Harvard Law School, he became the first African American preisdent of the Harvard Law review (newpaper). At the end of his studies he graduated with a Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude. He went to Harvard because he wanted to get into politics after his studies. -
Obama's First Book
He signed with a publisher and begins to write an autobiography titled, "Dreams from My Father" it eventually was published later on. He started to write the book in Chicago and started to get warm reviews about the book. He wrote the book because he wanted to open up his past and personal struggles with other people. -
Obama's Marriage
Barack Obama met MIchelle Robinson at a law firm in Chicago and married her on October 1st, 1992. Threy got married at the Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago. Shortly after they got married she found out that she would become the first lady. He married her becaus ehe said that he would like to start a family and have kids. -
Illinois State Senate
Obama won the Democratic nomination for a seat in the senate, and again he is in the Illinois State Senate. After his loss in congress he resumes his work in the Senate for many years. He wanted to participate in the Senate because he wanted to pass new laws and he eventually passed more than 20 pieces of legistration. -
Obama's First Child
Maila Obama was born on July 4th, 1998 and was born at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She is the oldest of two sisters and is considered to be the First Family of the United States. He wnated his child to grow up in a world with no limits on her dreams and no achievements beyond her reach. -
Natasha Obama
Natasha was born on June 10th, 2001 at the University Of Chicago Medical Center. She is the youngest of the two sisters and is the youngest child to reside in the White House. Some of her hobbies are piano,tennis,gymnasticsand tap dance. Her dad wants her to be compassionate and build the world. -
U.S. Senate
On January 17th, 2003 he formally enters the race for the U.S. Senate. A year later he is elected for the U.S. Senate defeating Alan Keyes, and is the nation's fifth African American Senator. He wnated to join the Senate because he wanted to change some laws and help with Hurricane Katrina. -

Obama delivered the Keynote Address Speech on July 27th, 2004. He made the speech ato the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He gave the speech because he wanted to address his own vision of America, and support Kerry for his presidency. -
Obama's First Term
On November 4th, 2008 he became the 43rd president of the U.S. He picked Joe Biden as his vice president and he is from Delaware. His inaguration speech took place on January 20th, 2009. He wanted to become president so he could help the problem of Health Care. For his effortd he was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize by the Nobel Commitee in Norway. -
"Bin Laden's Death"
Osama Bin Laden was assasinated on May 2nd, 2011. He was killed in his compound located in Pakistan, and Obama ordered the assault because he was the mastermind behind the 911 attack. He was killed by Seal Team Six and is considered one of the gretaest achievements for Barack Obama. -
Obama's Second Term
On November 6th, 2012 he won hte election and is now the 44th president of the U.S. He gave his victory speech in Chicago at the McCormick Place. After winning with 332 delegates he is now on his econd term for president. He wanted to run for a second time because he wanted to get us out of debt and help "boom" the economy.
