At 18 terry fox lost his leg to cancer .
He wanted to run across canada to raise money for othe people with cancer.
He started from St johns Newfoundland.
he ran through six provinces . -
Marathon of Hope 2
He ran for 3,339 miles.
He ran almost a marathon a day.
He ran for 143 days in total.
Now 22 the cancer came back and wasnt able to finish.
he raised 1 million dollars.
people today still raise money for cancer because of his hard work. -

The mohawk reserve said it was their land.
The police came in and stoped the protest and a police officer was killed.
protesters were charged then later found not guilty.
The reserve got their land back
