    Audrey is Born: Trust vs Mistrust

    Audrey (Age 0) she is just being born on this day. She is being welcomed into the world by her loving parents. Audrey is then brought home to a safe and loving environment. Her parents respond to all her cries and needs. In Erickson's first stage, trust vs mistrust, this developmental challenge is whether the infant is loved and cared for by a cargiver and the infant will have nothing to fear or the infant is not loved and the infant will dobut and fear the world.

    Audrey is Exploring New Things: Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt

    Audrey (Age 2) she is now able to walk and explore. Her parents let her run and explore whats new to her, but always making sure she's safe. They don't punish and restrict her from things unless if they cause her harm. In Erikson's second stage, autonomy vs shame and doubt, this developmental challenge is between the toddler being able to have a healthy scope of making choices on their own from their caregivers or if they have excessice punishment or restraint from their caregivers.

    Audrey Plans her Tea Party: Initiative vs Guilt

    Audrey (Age 5) she plans a tea party with her stuffed animals. Her parents tell her that it's a great idea and to have fun. They encourage her to do it by herself. In Erickson's third stage, initiative vs guilt, this devlopmental challenge is between whether the child is encouraged to do things on their own or if they are discouraged and treated harshly for trying to do their own things.
