Ayrton Senna Da Silva was born on March 21 1960, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Ayrton was introduced to his first cart made by his father. In order to race and use the cart Ayrton had to keep his grades a top priority.

Ayrton Senna began racing in the 100 cubic centimeter selection. After the years went by and Senna grew older he decided to step up and enter the kart series championship. His first year placed in sixth but on the upcoming years finshed sencond four conseutive years.

In the next season Ayrton began to race in British ford 2000 events, driving a Van Diemen RF82-Ford for Rushen Green Racing.He raced for British and European series. Entering twenty-seven races and winning twenty-one. Soon Ayrton moved to the nest series racing for West Surrey Racing in a Ralt RT3-Toyota.

After winning race series, Senna was being watched by many wealthy sponsers. Senna couldn't resist racing for Team Lotus. In the 1985 drving a Lotus 97T-Renault, Ayrton won his first Grand Prix race in Portugal on April 21, 1985.

In the Formula one championship, Ayrton continiously finished in fourth place. Ayrton was not satisfied with the result and kept making attempts but would finish fourth. He was so upset by it that he changed teams. Ayrton joined the Honda Marlboro McLaren team. He also won first Formula One championship by winning eight of the sixteen Grand Prix in which he was entered.

During Ayrton carting years, he was terrible in driving in wet conditions. He could win when it was dry out but never could stay on the track when it rain. Ayrton would wait at the cart circuit for hours waiting for the rain. Soon Senna gained his skill in driving at the rain and became the master. One of Ayrton's best races were in the rain either way he didn't finish. Starting in 19th place his had a five second gap between each lap til the end reaching second place.

When Ayrton joined tema Mclaren. He joined another former Grand prix champion Alain Prost. Both racer were very competitive and didn't get along much. Prost would always be in the camara light while Senna disliked talking about his racing a relationship with his team. Soon Prost left the team and joined Ferrari. They raced in a championship and Senna took the first win with Prost finishing second. Two years later Prost came back to take the medal home.

In 1993, Prost announced that he was retiring from Formula one racing.Early in the season, Ayrton was leading the field at the San Marino Grand Prix when his car left the course at full speed and crashed into a concrete wall. Ayrton ended up being one of the top driver in Formula one. winning 41 Grand Prix and finishing second behind Alain Prost.

Senna didn't know how to give back to his town. His death was on such short notice that he wasn't here to make a change. His sister open the Ayrton Senna instituite to help with childrens problems. Today over more than 200,000 children are being helped.
