King of Britan died.
King Pellinore and others are talking about who will be the next king and how the person who takes that place has to pull a sword out of a stone. They have to pull the sword out because there was no heir of the king that just died. Since no one can pull out the sword they decide to have a tournament. -

King Pellinore decided to go to London.
In London is the tournament on New Year's Eve for the tournament. Winner gets to be king. -
Their tutor/magician Merlin left the castle.
Everyone was so sad to see him go. He claimed that his servicces will no longer be needed since the children he hasd taught were all grown now. -
Knighting Ceremony.
The knighting happened at the castle. It declared men as knights. -
Everyone is preparing for the tournament.
Swords are being sharpened. Armor is being polished. Kay is getting all of her things ready. -
They set out for London, and then arrived.
On their journey they stoped only to rest for the night, until they arrived. IT was winter so their jouney was very cold. -
First day of the tournament.
Kay got them on a list for an hour before the joust began. He later realized that he forgot his sword at home. He sent Wart to fetch is and with his rude comments it made Wart hostile. When Wart arrived at the inn it was closed so he could not fetch the sword. -
Wart found a sword stuck in a rock.
He decided to try and get it unstuck. He had a funny feeling when he held the sword. He pulled out the sword after the third time trying to pull it out. Everyone around him went crazy. -
Kay tried to lie to his father.
Kay tried to lie to his father and say that he pulled out the sword. He lied because he thoght that it would him king but when his father asked if he was being truthful, he told the truth. -
Wart put the sword back in and took it out again.
Kay and Sir Ector wanted to see wart pull it out. They had him put it back. Then they both tried to pull it out. When they gave up they had Wart try again. Wart pulled out the sword with ease. -
Sir Ector and Kay bowed down to Wart.
They bowed down and ask him to let them be something like a manager to all of his lands when he was king. Wart cried because he said seeing them bow to hiim made him sad. Since in his eyes, he was supposed to serve them. Wart said he regret ever seeing the sword.
