In 1330 a.d. the Aztecs ecsovered th great city of Tenochitlan. This became the capital of the Aztec culture. This aslos became one of the most ancient city and Mexico is currently were it used to be.

The black death becomes knwon as on of the biggest outbreaks of plague in the world.This disease was brought into and throughout Europe by fleas and rats. This killed about 25 million people.

In 1347 A,D. Europe saw guns for the first time. The guns abled the europeans to have more advanced weapons in battle. The guns in Europe gave them the advantage at long range battle tactics, which aided them in their victories.

This long lost map of the world was drawn in the seond century by the geographer Ptolomey which is rediscovered in western europe. This map was important because it became one of the most accurate maps of the world. This map allowed explorers to get to their destinations easier.

In 1418 Prince Henry organizes a school on navigation for explorers. No one knew the exact locatin of the school. This was the first ever navigation school and taught about map making. sciences, and obviously navigational skills.

In 1420 the first Caravels are built. They were small, fast sailing boats that carried roughly 20 people. The were built for short sea trips rather than any long journey.

In 1442 the first auctions of black slaves take place in Portugal. This started the selling of black slaves and it continued for years on. This was a large part to the star of America.

In 1493 Columbus discovered that the native americans used tobacco as a medicine. Colombus found this to be a huge discovery becuase he could take his findings back to europe. This was exciting to them because the thought of th epossibility of using it to cure people, and creat new medicine.

In 1494 the Treaty of Tordesillas was made. It divided the undiscovered lands between Portugal and Spain. Spain and Portugal split this territory because they were the ones to discover almost all of it.

In 1498 Columbia discovers the American continent. Originally he was sailing to th West Indies, and just so happened to stumble upon the American continent. Although at that time they did not know it ws a new continent.

In 1504 Columbus used an astonomy book to try and predict a total eclipse of the moon to try and frighten a group of Native Americans. This just shows how little the Natives knew and how there small bit of knowledge made them handicaped in a way, which frightned them.

In 1514 the smallpox wa brought to America by Europeans to wipe out the native population. Since the natives were exposed to a foreign disease it affected them terribly and deminished the netive groups. This made it easier for the Europeans to settle once all of the natives were out of the way.

In 1606 Dutch explorers discover Australia. This new found continent ws put to use by allowing prisoners to stay there due to the over crowded prisoner issue.This was also a new start to another government and society.

In 1609 Galileo builds his first telescope. This creates the idea of seeing into space, and allows the people to start imagining about what could be seen in space. This also allowed explorers to see across the ocean to see danger among other things.

I chose these events because i felt that they were important to the history timeline. For example i chose the black death because it had such an effect on population, Another example would be the guns in europe. This helped to further their advancements in battle. All of these events helped to shape the way the world is today and have such an impact. This timeline can show you the exact dates of what major things happened to help shape the world.
