Awkward Andy Goes to School
Andy went to Holmes Elementary School, and Schenley High School. School was a challenge for Andy- he was a dyslexic and had trouble talking to strangers. He mostly talked with the girls. He graduated from high school in 1945. -
Andys Special Dance
When Andy was eight, he was diagonsed with chorea, alsco known as st. vitus's dance. The disease left young Andy bedridden for many months. during this time, his mother, Julia, taught him how to draw. -
Andy Grieves a Death
When Andy was a mere 13 years old, his beloved father, Ondrej, died of tuberculosis. In his will, Ondrej left a great portion of his money to Andys college stating that he sensed great things from him. during Ondrejs viewing in the Warhola living room, Andy hid "under his bed" the entire three days. -
College in Carnegie
In the Fall of 1945, Andy chose to study pictoral design at the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now called Carnegie Mellon University). He graduated with his bachlors degree of fine arts in 1949. -
Andys Many Wigs
From a young age, Andy had noticed that he had thinning hair, so his solution? he bought wigs- over fourty of the fake dos! His favourite wig was the iconic white top and brown underside. -
Andy the Artist: the Early Stages
After graduating from the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Andy almost immediately moved to New York to become a commercial artist. Soon after getting acquainted, he scored a job with Glamour Magizine, drawing shoes. -
Andy Drops the "A"
When Mr. Warhol first got a job at Glamour Magazine, he requested that his last name would be printed as Warhol- instead of Warhola. Why you may ask? He stated that it was "simpler". -
Andy the Icon: Pop Art
Andy had a dream to create something famous through out the continents. Then, on a September day, he created the consept of Pop Art- making art commercial. -
Andy's Tribute to the Fallen Famous
On August 5, 1962 the world renouned actress Marilyn Monroe overdosed and died. To honor the life of her, Warhol decided to make a portrait of her the day after she died, little did he know that the portrait would soon become one of the most famous paintings known to man. -
The Factory
When moving to New York, Andy realized that having all his art equipment in the same appartment he lived in became quite cramped. So, he decided to buy a small, silver painted loft he decided to call The Factory. Many celebertys, paparazzi, and artists flocked to the Factory from near and far. -
Andy in Turmoil
On June 3, 1968, Andy unexpectedly gets shot three times in the chest by one of his models/actresses- Valerie Solanas. Warhol is then rushed to the emergency room where he was pronounced dead for one and a half minutes before the paramedics revived him. -
Andy Recieves a Major Blow
On November 22, 1972, Andys beloved mother, Julia, dies. He continues to tell no one about her death to lessen the mourning. Andys mother inspired his artistic side and incouraged him to do what he believed in. -

The Passing of a Legend
In New York City at 6:32 a.m., on Feburary 22, 1987 Andy Warhol was pronounced dead. He has myocardial infarctions (surgical complecations) which worsteded throughout the night. he was 58 years old.
