Siege of Boston Ends
American soldiers surrounded British troops in the city of Boston so that they could not do anything. -
Declaration of Independence
A letter to Britain stating that America was ending their relationship with England and it also lists the reasons why. -
Battles of New York
Washington was defeated at Long Island after trying to stop British Troops from capturing New York, then Washington lost again to them, then won against them, and then lost again. -
Battle of Trenton
Washington crossed the Delaware river and performed a surprise attack on the Hessians, and eventually won. -
Battle of Germantown
Fought in Germantown, Pennsylvania, British troops led by Howe won against Americans. -

A series of battles that took place near Saratoga, New York and had devastating amounts of British casualties. -

Agreement between the 13 colonies and came a precurosor to the constitution. -

General Cornwallis is forced to surrender. This is an American victory. -

Agreement between Britain and the colonies. Set boundaries for settlers in America, as well as fishing rules and various other agreements.
