The American Revolution
The US colonists fighting against the British soldiers for independence. -
Lexington and Concord
Lexington and Concord was the battle between the US colonists and British soldiers. This battle is what sparked the rivalry and started the war between them. They fought because the US colonists defied the British rule. The US colonists wanted independence. What if… What if the US colonists never defied the British rule and lived how the British wanted them too? The war might have never happened and with the war not happening the US would probably not have become an independent country. -
The US declares independence
The US had enough of being pushed around by the British King. The King had been taxing the colonists even though they weren’t apart of Britain anymore. The Congress officially signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. What if… What if the US Congress never officially signed the Declaration of Independence? The US would have still been getting taxed. War would have still broke out because of the colonists being angry and fighting British soldiers. -
Siege of Yorktown
After six years of war, both the British and Continental armies were exhausted. The British, in hostile territory, held only a few coastal areas in America. The Allied armies marched hundreds of miles from their headquarters north of New York City to Yorktown, making theirs the largest troop movement of the American Revolution. They surprised the British in a siege that turned the tide toward an American victory in the War for Independence. -
Siege of Yorktown Pt.2
What if… What if the US armies had not marched into Yorktown that day and fought? The US were running low on resources and probably wouldn’t have lasted for another year. George Washingtons quick thinking is what made them win the Revolution. -
Treaty Of Paris
The Treaty of Paris of 1763 ended the French and Indian War/Seven Years’ War between Great Britain and France, as well as their respective allies. In the terms of the treaty, France gave up all its territories in mainland North America, effectively ending any foreign military threat to the British colonies there. What if… What if the French never ended the war? If the treaty of Paris never happened the US would have become beat by the British and all of that fighting would have been for nothing
