  • Mercy Otis Warren

    Mercy Otis Warren
    Was born in Massachusetts. She became a Patriot writer, and wrote plays, poems and lots of other writings that were about independence. Her writings convinced lots of people in Massachusetts to become Patriots. In 1743 she attended Harvard. November 1754 she married James Warren and went to live in the Warren family estate at Eel River Plymouth Mass. She died on October 19, 1814.
  • George Washington

    George Washington
    Was born in Virginia into a wealthy family. He grew tobacco and rice to earn his money. He liked to hunt, and ride horses. Out of all U.S presidents he is most favored. Was chosen to lead American army against the french aka the French and Indian War. The English won this battle and soon later Washington left the army and married Martha Custis. He later died on December 14, 1799.

    Paul Revere
    Always stood up to what he believed in and worked hard to make a difference in his country. learned how to be a silversmith and a goldsmith. His fatherdied when he was ninteen years old. 1756 Paul volunteered to fight the French at Lake George, New York. August 1757 he married Sarah Orne. They had eight children. After Sarah's death in 1773, he married Rachel Walker and had another eight children.

    Was 13 years younger than Samuel Adams. Born in massachusetts, Known as Duke of Braintree because of where he was born. He graduated from Harvard, studied law, and became a lawyer. October 1764 married abigail smith. He helped write the peace treaty with England called the treaty of paris.
  • Thomas Paine

    Thomas Paine
    He was born in Norfolk England. He never married. He was a tax worker and an apprentice for his father. In the revolutionary war he made pamphlets. When the French found out what he was writing they captured him. He died in 1809 and was burried in the colonies. Friends took his casket and tried to ship it to England and he burry it there. But during the long journey it dissappeared and was never to be found.
  • General Cornwallis

    General Cornwallis
    He was a british general who fought against the Americans. His most important battle was The Battle Of YorkTown where the british surrendered. Was unable to defeat the American and French forces. Two years after the revolution started he arrived in America, and was held responsible for the entire british campaign in the south. After the war Cornwallis became the Governor General of India and the Viceroy of Ireland. He died in 1805.
  • Benedict Arnold

    Benedict Arnold
    Married to Margaret Mansfield. Four years after he death which was on June 19, 1775 he married Peggy Shippen. He opened a druggist shop that also sold books. Was in the West Indies when he heard about the Boston Massacre and he said and i quote "Are the Americans all asleep and tamely giving up their liberties?" . Was a trader and escaped from the Americans and was never caught. The rest of his life he lived in England and Canada. Died in London, England, on June 14, 1801.
  • Abigail Adams

    Abigail Adams
    Married john adams who later became the second president of the united states. Mother of John Quincy Adams, who became the sixth president of the United States. Died in 1818 at 74 Years old
  • John Andre

    John Andre
    Born in london. Tried to capture George Washington but failed. Was captured by Continental Army and found his plans in his sock. Was hung by americans at age 31.
  • Samuel adams

    Samuel adams
    Born in boston in 1772, was the cousin of John adams. He went to work in a counting house which is a place somewhat like a bank. When the Stamp Act of 1765 ordered the colonists to buy stamps from England Samuel started a protest against it. Thanks to him in 1776 the stamp act ended.
