The British governer of Massachusetts sent British troops to seize the Colonists military stores in Concord. The Patriots fonud and local Militiamen went to Lexington to stop them, they were outnumbered and the Birthish troops defaetd them adn marche don to Concord. There they were met with another at the North Bridge and teh British were defeated.

After a campaign of land and sea between the joined American and Franco armies teh British were trapped in teh Yorktown peninsula. After General Cornwallis released the were going to be defeated, so he attempted to escape and failed. So he agreed to the terms of surrender. The fighting still continued afterwards but it was finally over.
