This victory helped to persuade the French to give militia help to the colonists as England was an enemy of France as well. This helped the colonists because they were provided extra men on their side to help battle the British Redcoats. -

This document was a peace treaty negotiated between the United States and Great Britain that officially ended the revolutionary war and recognized the independence of the thirteen states.
