    British Start Trading
    The British start trading with the Native Americans that live in the Chio River Valley. The French start to get angry at the British for trading. The British still trade with Native Americans. The French get angry at British for not stopping. (No exact date known)
  • Killing of French Ambassodor

    Killing of French Ambassodor
    The Half King (the ruler of the Native Americans which lived in the Ohio River Valley) created a bond with the British. He tricked George Washington into ambushing the french. George Washington and his troops attack and wound the French Ambassador. The Half King kills the the French Ambassador. Then a conflict begins between the French and most Native Americans. They fight against the British and the 13 Colonies.
  • End of French and Indian War.

    End of French and Indian War.
    The French and Indian war (called 7 year war in Europe) ends. It ends with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. The treaty took away all the land from France in North America. The Ohio River was given to the British. The war took lots of money and taxes were starting in the colonies.

    The Proclamation Line was issued by King George III. It forbid any colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. He did this so all the Native Americans that sided whith him would have land. Most people didn't pay any close attention to it.

    The Parliment passed a modified version of the Sugar and Molasses Act which was about to expire soon. The act hurt the British West Indies market since sugar and molasses was used in rum. Scince the British West Indies market relied on rum. the tax lowered from 6 pence to 3 pence.

    This was an act for granting and applying certian stamp duties in the 13 Colonies and plantations in America. It was used to protect sevaral trade and revenue acts. They taxed the stamps that had to be used to trade.

    The act taxed glass, oil, paint, lead, paper, and tea. The taxes were sopose to raise 40,000 euros per year. Many colonist did not like the tax and it resulted in colonial hostilities.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    British soldiers led by Captin Preston went to the town square to calm down a mob. The soldiers were getting pelted with snowballs, sticks, rocks, and anything they could find. They were getting verbally abused by the big crowd of people. One soldier shot and others fired after. In the end five died and eight wounded.

    In the night many people went on three East India Company full of tea. They were dressed up like Native Americans. They pushed all the tea overboard in rebelliation of the tea tax. None of the tea was saved because people were beeting tea boxes with oars in boats. The rebelliation was lead by the Sons of Liberty.

    Paul Revere was sent by Dr. Joseph Warren. His task was to go to Lexington, Massachusetts. To warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that the British were going to arrest them.

    The first shot that started the war was in Lexington, Massachusetts. There minutemen fought against the redcoats. There were 70 minutemen and 240 redcoats and one shot started the war.
  • Bunker Hill

    The soldiers move to Bunker Hill. The British were stuned to find out the Americans had threaten them. Even though the Americans had the superior position the British still attacked. They thought that the Americans were going to retreat they didn't. The Americans ran out of amunition so they had to use hand-to-hand fighting. It was a bloody mess but the British took it over. 2,300 British soldiers and 1,054 killed or wounded.

    The British wanted th Americans to surender so they could get the fort. When the Americans said no war broke out. The leader of the Malitial got killed and the malitia fled to the fort. the battle ended there and the Americans finnaly surrendered.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    THis battle was crutial for the Americans. The armies stayed in cannon range for most of the time. The army clashed south of Saratoga. The British lost 83 percent of thier people in the war.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    this was the last battle between the British and the Americans. The assault was lead by General George Washington. The French help the Americans. They got the British stuck in Yorktown. The battle was mostly done with guns. In the end Lord Cornwallis surrendered.
  • Signing of U.S. Constitution

    Forty people signed the U.S. Constitution. 23 People were veterans. The youngest person was Jonathan Dayton who was 26 years old.
