    The Stamp Act was a tax put on the American colonies by the British in 1765. It said they had to pay a tax on all sorts of printed materials such as newspapers, magazines and legal documents. In Stamp Act Congress of 1765
    The Congress asked the king to get rid of the taxes, said that Parliament didn't have the right to tax them, and said that admiralty courts were unfair. Stamp Act repealed Parliament voted to repeal the Stamp Act in March 1766.
