The British wanted the Ohio River Valley for trade but it was the French's land so the French and Natives teamed up to fight the British. The fight went on for 7 year and the British won but they had lost so much money during the War it ended up not really being worth it. The war ended in 1763 with the Treaty of Paris. -
Taxes put on American colonists for goods by the British Parliament, colonist thought this was unconstitutional. This lead to violence and made stamp collectors quit their jobs. -
