    George Washington was a general in the French and Indian war, that is were is title skyrocketed. then he was recruited to be a general in the American Revolution. He led the patriots to victory and helped us become independent. he was also our first president.

    The french and Indian war was a fight for land. the french were expanding south and the British were expanding west, eventually they met in the middle and didn't end until a treaty of Paris was signed. British won and the french surrendered and the french got kicked out of north america.

    the Treaty of Paris also known as the Treaty of 1763, was signed to end the French and Indian war. In the terms of the Treaty, France gave up all of it's North American land to the British.

    the Townshend Act was a series of acts, that imported goods would be taxed. But Americans had no say, and the colonists were not happy with that and they often stole or didn't pay the taxes. tax collectors were hated and often abused or even put to death by the colonists.

    The Boston Massacre was and indecent that ended in five lost lives. No one knows what really happened, some blame the colonists for throwing snowballs and some think that the British soldiers just started shooting.

    the intolerable acts were placed after the Boston tea party serving as a punishment. they included the quartering act which made you take in a soldier and take care of them even if you couldn't afford it.

    The First Continental Congress was held at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was were the delegates of the colonies met and had discussions.

    The Second Continental Congress was a convention for the representatives of the 13 colonies. It was an add on to the First Continental Congress.

    "The British are coming!" Lexington and Concord, is famous for the things people said. "the shot heard around the world". In Lexington, the British soldiers came and no one knew who fired the first shot but the battle stared and many lives were lost
