    The Americans and British had won and ended the 7 Years War; French gave up most of their territories in North America to the English. George Washington was a famous American who fought during this war; he was later on became the 1st president of the United States of America.

    The British required the colonists to buy stamps to put on all kinds of products, such as newspapers. They colloected taxes from lots of countries like England. In a later time, the colonists were not satisfied with the Stamp Act, they said that th king could't raise taxes without consulting the people.

    At that time, figh broke out between a mob of Americans and the British soldiers; the soldiers fired into the crowds and killed five colonists. The above event was called the Boston Massacre, which was one of the important cause leading to the series of American Revolutions.

    When th congress was arguing about independence, a person called Thomas Paine published a pamphlet called Common Sense in 1776. It was written that the English king was th enemy of liberty and the island of Britain couldn't control America.
