    The colonists were facing unfair taxes or Taxiation without representation espiacally on tea. Son on that night the colonists decided to dumt all the tea into the boston harbor.
  • The begining of a long battle

    the colonies were experiencing a lot of trouble because of un fair taxation, lack of representation in the British Parliament, and the restriction of colonial freedoms; even so, less than one- third of the colonists really wanted independence from Britan. Never the less, the First Continental Congress was meeting that October and was warning people to be prepared to fight if American liberties were not restored.Early next year the king declared the colony of Massachusetts to be in open rebellion

The lights were a signal to the patriots that British troops, known as "redcoats," were coming to search for weapons in Concors by secretly crossing the river to Charles Town.

So the British abandoned Philadelphia and soon warfare ended in the North. Late in December of 1778, the king's force seized Savannah, Georgia and soon took control of the whole state.
