    Civilians began to unite and help all around America after the attack. They began to get more patriotic, there was a growth in the number of people attending churches, people began donating blood, many people began traveling to New York and help as well. Doctors and nurses as well as other professionals began to travel there and help.

    The War on terror was an American act after the terrorists attack at NYC. In this article about the War on Terror says this, "the war on terrorism was comparable to the cold war; it was intended to represent a new phase in global political relations." The war on terrorism involved places like Afghanistan, Iraq etc.

    During the day after the tragic event and attack, the people of America were extremely devastated. Family members and friends that had known the victims remember them on this very day each year.

    Months after the attack, people including policemen, fire fighters, rescue teams, and engineers contributed to the cleaning up of the destruction that was caused to the twin towers in New York City. The cleanup ended May 30th 2002.

Bush put out a speech, recognizing those who were heroic in their actions during this time and he also addresses how America is being strong and united throughout this time of tragedy. He also states, "We are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom." Then says, "Whether we bring out enemies to justice or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done." This gives America confidence in their President.

    When the War in Afghanistan began America demanded that Afghanistan give them bin laden, who was the leader of the terrorist group al-Qaeda, when that could not be done American and British troops started invading Afghanistan and attacking bin laden's troops. Ten years after the war on Afghanistan soldiers from America found bin laden and killed him.

    The Patriot Act is the act that allows investigators to search through books, paper documents etc. so that they can prevent a terrorist attack from happening in the United States.The Patriot act is also to penalize terrorists and increase the law enforcement in the United States.

    The Homeland security act was the act to protect America from terrorist attacks. It also helps reduce the amount of damage done in the United states if a terrorist attack does happen. Another thing the Homeland Security helps with is investigating and finding out details to stop terrorist attacks.

    The United states and allies, like the United Kingdom, begin the war on Iraq. President George W. Bush said this about the war on Iraq, "At this hour, American and Coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free it's people and to defend the world from grave danger." The idea of war that President Bush suggested was dignified because the leader of Iraq was creating weapons that could harm a lot of people and places

    He had been one of the most wanted people in America for over ten years. People believe that bin laden was accountable for all of the terrorist attacks including, The terrorist attack on the twin towers in NYC and bombings of the U.S. Embassies. May of 2011, United states soldiers found bin laden in Islamabad, Pakistan and killed him.
