    American Revolution

    The American Revolution was a war fought from 1775-1783 by the British and the 13 colonies. France, Spain, and the Dutch were also involved in the war. It occurred in the 13 colonies and in the Atlantic Ocean. It began because of the Stamp Act and laws created by the British Parliament that angered the colonist of not having a free choice. The Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party were two events that also helped begin the war.

    Lousiana Purchase
    Thomas Jefferson, bought 827,000 square miles for 15 million dollars from France. They bought the land from Napoleon Bonaparte to expand westward and for the ownership of New Orleans and the land the French owned.

    Civil War

    The Union and the confederate went to war in the early United States. They fought over slavery and was one of the most deadliest wars for the United States and they lost the most soldiers in the war compared to any war ever. The Union won in the end and brought the South and north back together again.
  • The Emancipation Proclamation

    The Emancipation Proclamation
    Abraham Lincoln became the president and while he was in the office, the south and the north had an issue with slavery. The North wanted to free them, but the south wanted to keep them for their plantations and businesses. So they went into war, and making it the most bloodiest war that the United States has ever been in against its own country. Abraham then signed a proclamation that would end slavery and for the south to give in to the freedom of slaves.

    17 countries go to war around the globe and WWI is called the war that ends all wars which began with political, territorial and economic conflicts. Although the war started in 1914, United States joins the fight on 1917.

    The Great Depression

    Franklin D. Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover, former presidents of the United States had to deal with a crisis of the bank crash in the early 1900s, where there was huge deflation and issues with banks and money. This caused people to become poor and was a time when America struggled with the rise of dropouts in school and increased job loss and homeless people. But the presidents made laws to help secure and protect the banks and pulled them out of the crisis in 1939.

    The war began soon after the first World War, but was dividing over 45 countries to be under Axis powers and the allied army. It placed all over the Earth and countries from all over attacked each other to contribute. It happened as soon as the first world war ended.

    Vietnam War

    This involved South and northern Vietnam to attack one another and eventually started to invoke other countries like America, France, and Japan. These three countries backed up either sides and eventually America and Japan both pulled out of the war after being too costly and to not get involved. It occurred after Vietnam's power and government was disputed and communism started to rise. America supported the southern portion of Vietnam.

    America astronauts lands on the moon. Walks and returns. We wanted to beat the Russians and be the first on the moon.
  • Twin Towers

    The islamic terrorists of Al Qaeda hijacked 4 planes and crashed two into the twin towers in New York. It involved the Americans and Al Qaeda. It happened as a cause of terrorism and to show an act of terror to the americans, but only united them with the help of the president at the time.
