    Alexander the Great is born

    Alexander's father is murdered and is left to rule the empire when he is 20 years old.

  • 333 BCE

    He tries to kill king Darius so he can conquer Persia. When he goes to attack, Darius doesn't pay much attention and ends up losing the battle.

  • 333 BCE

    The battle keeps on going and Alexander wins again because of his phalanx formation. Darius fled and Alexander captures his family.

  • 332 BCE

    Alexander challenged Darius to keep on fighting since he wanted the whole kingdom.

  • 332 BCE

    Darius offers half of his kingdom in exchange of his family. Alexander declines.

  • 331 BCE

    The Battle of Gaugamela was the last battle. It consists of the Persians and Macedonians, Darius flies and dies and Alexander becomes the new king of Persia.

    Alexander conquers Egypt, founds the city of Alexandria and proclaimes himself the son of the god Zeus-Ammon.

  • 324 BCE

    Alexander and his army are returning from India to Greece when he falls ill and dies in Babylon. He might of been poisoned or died of sickness at the age of 32.
