A few leading banks joined together and started buying stocks which stabilized the economy for friday. On Tuesday investers dumped 16 million shares, which collapsed the skock market. The stock market dropped in value by 16 billion.

The attack lasted about 2 hours but all 8 battleships had suffered damage and 200 aircraft were completely destroyed. About 2,400 Americans had lost their lives.
