The First Triumvirate was an unofficial political alliance of Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus. This was influential to the Roman Republic because the members ruled the Republic completly, but it did not last for long due to the ambitiousness of the three. -
Pontifex Maximus
Pontifex Maximus was an elected position in Rome. The people in this position were the chairmen of the priests. In this great position, the Pontifex Maximus would regulate many Roman state cults.
Julius Caesar supposedly bribed his way into this position. -
Aedile
An aedile was an office in the Roman Republic thet held people that would regulate public buildings and lead festivals.
This was important in Julius Caesar's life because this was when he became a leader with a big purpose for Rome. -
