A war that was thirty years long starting in 1618 and lasting till 1648. The war was between the Catholics and Protestant's and also included Denmark, Spain, Sweden, France, and the Habsburg Dynasty (ruler of the HRE). There were plenty of reasons as to why the war had started which included religion, politics, territory, etc. The war was important because the fighting was for change and that's what happened when the war ended due the "Peace of Westphalia'' (1948).
