This one's pretty self explanatory, in 1948, Harry Truman made an order that abolished discrimination of people in the armed forces -
Brown V Board of Education of Topeka
Brown V board of edu. Topeka was a case that was brought all the way up to the supreme court where is was ruled that segregation in school was unconstitutional -
Emmett Till's Murder
Emmett Till was accused by a white woman that he sexually assaulted her leading to her husband and his friend abducting, torturing him until he was unidentifiable then lynching him and dumping him in a river. The boy was 14 years old. -
Rosa Parks Arrested
This event was staged where a woman named Rosa Parks was told to give up her seat on a bus for a white man because that's what colored people were supposed to do but she refused, leading to her arrest. -
Little Rock Nine
"Little Rock Nine" was a group of 9 black students who stood up for the colored community and challenged the segregation based on race and all enrolled in an all whites school -
Civil Rights Act of '57
This was the first ever civil rights act that was passed and it increased protection in voting and help guide the civil rights law -

Martin Luther King Junior, a heavily inspiring speaker for colored people was assassinated. -
Swann v Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools
This was a state supreme court case about promoting integration into public schools (some schools are still having that issue)
