    Passage of the Americans with Disabilties Act
    This act was signed by the president and passed by congress on july 26,1990. This law gave everyone with a disablitilty a chance to live a life with freedom and equality. This law is enforced by (EEOC) to pronibit discrimmation including (hiring opportunties,benefits and promotions). It was put into law to give people with a disabliity a real life and interact with peers."People with disabilities represent a critical talent pool that is underserved and underutilized"(Shirley Davis).

    Confirmation of Clarence Thomas
    Clarence Thomas was a African American born june 23 ,1948. Thomas was associate justice of the supreme court. He was appointed by George W. Bush to be on the supreme court after thurgood Marshall retired.But, there was some rumors of sexual harssament on antia hill by Thomas. It was during her employment at ED and EEOC. Also that Thomas actually fired her after making these sexual remarks to her. The confirmation vote was 52 to 48.

    The battle of Mogadishu or black hawk down was between U.S forces and Somali milita.The battle took place in Mogadishu Somalia on October 3rd through the 4th in 1999. The battle was fought to capture and seize two of aidids lieutenants. Most man only packed for an hour of combat. But, the battle ended up lasting until daylight. There were a couple hundred somali milta man killed and about 200 somalia civilans. The U.S forces had lost 5 soilders. There were victories with help from the U.N.

    This passage was a treaty created by Canada,Mexcio and U.S in early 1994 on january 1. There were 3 headquarters Mexcio City (Mexcio),Ottawa(Canada), and Washington D.C (U.S). These three nations created a trilateral rules based trade bloc in North Amercia.The reason they created this passage was to elimate tariffs and trade barriers on products coming through the U.S,Canada, and Mexcio.It was approved by the house of representaives and the senate. It was signed by Clinton into law.

    O.J simpson was a running back for the bills and the 49ers. He also was a broadcaster and an actor. He was tried for two deaths his ex-wife and Ronald Goldman. Simpson hired the best of the best to defend him. The blood sample some how was missing which was probably the work of his team.It was known has the trial of the century. There were a lot of different opinons of simpions guilt or innocence. The verdict was in on oct 3,1995 and he was found not guilty. The victums families filed a lawsuit

The reason for the march was to unite african american communties and to show the illness of black communties. The march was successful, there were about 850,000 african americans in the march showing there support for the black communties.

    The crash was took place off the coast of N.Y in the Alantic. All 230 passengers were killed in the crash. Investigators searched around the scene but,coundnt find any real evidence of the cause. There are many differnet opionions of what happened. Most say it was an act of terrioism. The finally conclusion of the crash was flammable air vapor in the fuel tank.
  • Murder of Matthew Shepard

    Murder of Matthew Shepard
    Matthew was a 21 year old student at the university of wyoming. Matthew was found in Laramie Wyoming, beaten up and left there to rot. He died six days later. The murders were Aaron Mckinley and Russel Henderson. They first just robbed him but, then killed for supossely saying a sexual advance. The two murders were sentence 2 life sentences.The action was brought to attention and in 2009 the Shepard/Byrd act was passed.

    The bombing in yugoslavia started march 24 and lasted until june 10. NATO's reason for bombing Yugoslavia was to seize the actions of abuse rights in Kosovo. They launched this act with the UN secruity council not approving. The bombing took plac in the republic of Kosovo and sebria. The bombing killed around 528 people and completely destroyed most structures like military ,barracks,bridges,busineeses,etc. One of there goals was to end violence by the milosevic government. NATO was sucessful.

    The Shooting took place in Columbine,CO in 1999. The two high school students killed 12 of there classments and one teacher, shortly after doing so, they both committed suicide. After the columbine shooting there were more gun control laws,school secruity and other safety laws.The columbine shooting was ranked the #1 deadliest high school shooting in histroy.
