    The Eighteenth Amendment mandated that the consumption, sale, manufuncture, and transportation of all alcohol products was band nationally in the United States. This Amendment pretty much enforced the act of prohibition.

    The Spirit of St. Louis was flown by Charles Lindburgh, who was a famous pilote in the United States. Lindburgh wanted to be the first man in history to fly an airplane across the Atlantic Ocean alone. He started his flight in Roosevelt Field, Long Island.

    Landing in Paris, Charles Lindburgh was the first man in history to fly across the Atlantic by himself. The flight was 3,610 miles long and took thirty-three and a half hours long. When he landed he was quickly surrounded by a cheering crowd to see the man who had overcome what seemed to be impossible.

    He was looked at, by the people, as a poor president and political leader. Hoover was president during the Great Depression Era and many civilians blamed him for their finacial problems. Very poor civilians named their little towns made of cardboard or tin buildings Hoovertowns.

    Black Tuesday was the day that the stock market crashed, stocks lost about 13 percent of their value, and this is whats said to be the beginning of the Great Depression.
  • Dust Bowls

    First formed on the Southern Plains, dried up top soil was picked up by heavy winds and tossed around in the air until there was enough soil in the wind that the storm could black out the sun for a period of time. These dusty wind storms could last days at the most and would destroy farmers crops. It could also get inside peoples lungs and make them very sick and could possibly kill them.

    This act raised import taxes on all imported goods. This was formed by U.S. Congress and made the world wide economy taxes and prices come to an all time high.

    President Roosevelt took office on March 4, 1933. He enduered the Great Depression, World War Two, and the forming of the League of Ntions to help the United States relationship with Russia. He served four terms and was one of the most well liked president in U.S. history.

    The (CCC) was an agency that was devoted the conservation of forest and the development of natural rescources. This agency gave millions of jobs to men who needed work. Also, this agency saved millions of acres of natural forest and wildlife.

    Formed by President Roosevelt. the Tennessee Valley Authority was designed to fix any problems in the United States.Each problem was studied with a lot of effort and each issue was treated as each other issue that TVA was looked to to fix.

    The FDIC is an independent agency created to insure the confidence in the public when depositing money into United States banks. It was also made to keep citizens money completely safe and only accessable only by trusted public workers and its owners.
