This war was between the US and Mexico. It was caused because of a Mexico was angry about the annexation of Texas. The US won the war on February 2, 1848 and Mexico was forced to cede its northern and western provinces, which are today the western parts of the US. -
US Civil War
The US civil war was between the Union and the Confederacy. The Union wanted more emphasis on the country's government and the Confederacy wanted more power for the States. The Union won on April 9 1861 and slavery was abolished. -
World War 1
World War 1 was between the Triple Alliance: Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary and the Triple Entente: Britian, France, and Russia. The United States joined in the Triple Entente in 1917 and on Noveber 11, 1918 the Triple Entente won the war. -

World War 2 was between the Axis Powers: Germany, Italy, and Japan and the Major Allied Powers: the United States, Great Britian, France, and Russia. The Major Allied Powers won the war on Septemeber 2, 1945. -
Korean War
The Korean War was the US and South Korea vs. North Korea and Communist China. The US joined the war between North Korea and South Korea in order to help defend South Korea. No side really won and things before the war pretty much stayed the same. The war ended on July 27, 1953. -
Vietnam War
This war was the US and South Vietnam vs. North Vietnam. The US was apart of the conflict between South and North Vietnam in hopes of abolishing communism.The war ended on May 15, 1975. -
Bay of Pigs Invasion
The US invavded Cuba in hopes of overthrowing Fidel Castro and the communist regime.The attack failed due to poor planning, execution, and lack of interest and suport from cuban citizens. -
