    This event is a fair that takes place in Seville, Spain. It lasts for six days, starting at midnight on Monday and ending on the following Sunday. At the fair, there are things like parades, partying, and dancing that is sometimes held in tents called casetas. It was established in 1847 as a livestock fair, but it soon became festive the next year. Everyone dresses in bright costumes.

    This holiday is a fiesta and battle done in memory of the Battle of Acloy in 1275. It takes place in different cities along the Spanish coast. It's a battle between the Moors and Christians. People line the streets and cheer the soldiers on as they march into battle. They dress in colorful costumes, and it's a noisy event.

    This event takes place in many towns across Spain. What happens is a group of bulls are let loose on a course and are transported to a bullring, where they are killed later in the evening. Young adult boys try to show bravery and run ahead of the bulls. This event origianally came from the 14th century, when men would transport their cattle to sell at the market. They would run with the bulls to get them to go faster. It soon became very popular.

    Castellers de Vilafranca
    It's a festival that usually takes place during the summer in Spain. People, both boys and girls, and of all ages and get on top of each other's shoulders and make the biggest human tower they can. It's their way of competing against others and meeting their goals.
  • La Tomatina

    La Tomatina
    This event is a tomato fight that takes place in Buñol, Spain, which is near Valencia. Thousands of people go there to participate in the event and throw tomatoes at each other. It happens on the last Wednesday in August, but the partying starts later in the week. Back in 1944, there was a parade of giants. One of them fell over and got angry after some kids tried to join the parade. So the kids threw tomatoes at the giant. This soon turned into an event that happened every year.
