    The boy picks his scab
    The story starts out with a boy inside a house staring at his scab on his knee. He picks the scab and it comes off and falls off on the carpet.

    He looks at the carpet and admires its colors. He suddenly imagines different things for each color. Red for lumps of red hot coal that would burn him if steps on them, Black for snakes that would bite him if stepped on them

    He begins stepping on the yellow parts that are the only safe spots to step on.

    He struggles despirately wanting to make it to the other side. At one point he wants to quit but he knows that on the other side there is his puppy waiting for him.

    At the end he trys to make it across a long black part of the carpet but fails. He falls on the black part and makes a loud scream while outside his mother is looking for her son ...
