  • Proclamation of 1763

    King George III declared Appalachian as the temporary western boundry to expansion by the colonists because it was the end of the French & Indian War.
  • Taxation without Representation

    Great Britain starts putting taxes on everything because they were in debt after the French & Indian War.
  • Sugar Act

    Parliament passed this act lower the tax on mollasses to try and stop smuggling and increase the tax revenue.
  • Stamp Act

    Parliament put taxes on all printed goods to get them out of debt and give them power.
  • Quartering Act

    Parliament passed this act to start punishing people in the army that neglected/refused to do their duties and to pay them if they did.
  • Declaratory Act

    Gave Parliament the right to tax and make descisions for the colonists because they just repealed the stamp act and wanted power.
  • Townshend Act

    Parliament set taxes on all imported goods to try and make the colonists happy.
  • Boston Massacre

    Colonists were protesting British soldiers because they were accused of things.

    Parliament shipped tea to the colonies and sold it cheap because the East India Trading company would profit.

    King George III and parliament closed Boston harbor until the colonists could pay back the money for the tea because they wanted to punish them for ruining all the tea.

    55 delegates made an orginazation that could represent the American people because they wanted to gain back liberty from the British.
