    Abraham Lincoln was shot while he was at Fords Theatre watching a play. He died the next morning of the gunshot wound. This happened just about 6 days before the American Civil war was about to end. It is important because he was the 16th president , and he led the country through the civil war.

    The first Klan was founded in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee by veterans of the Confederate Army. Although it never had an organized structure above the local level, similar groups across the South adopted the name and methods. It is iimportant because it was one of the largest groups to go against african americans and those that were with the government.

It killed over 1,517 people. One of the deadliest sea disasters in history. It is important because there were Americans on that ship, and it was a very crucial time in our history.

    It was authorized by the federal government to create a army numbering into the hundreds of thousands with which to fight a modern war. It is important because then our military would be very large.
  • 18th Amendment Prohibits Alcohol

    This was when the sale, manufacture, and transportation of Alcohol was illegal. The flaw about this was that people were making and selling there own Alchohol therefore no one followed the law. It was later taken out.
