This is important because people all over the U.S listen to radio stations everyday. Mostly in their on vehicles. Now their are hundreds of stations to listen to.

    The first pageant was hold in Atlantic city. Sixteen year old Margaret Gorman from Washington D.C won the title Miss America. A few years later it attracted seventy contestants. Now its a big event in America and girls all over the nation come forward to this pageant.
  • Teapot Dome

    Albert B. Fall got control of the Teapot Dome. This was an oil reserved scandal. It involved a secret leasing of nocal ol reserve lands in private companies. In 1924 it was released that Albert B. Falls put a lease on the Teapot Dome. That was legal. But he was also taking the money that he got from the oil for himself and that was illegal and was charged.

    Howard Carter a English archaeologist and Egyptologist finds the Tomb of Tutankhamun. At the age of 17 he was sent out to Egypt by the Egypt Exploration Fund to assist Percy newberry in the excavation and the recording of middle kingdom tombs at beni hassan.
  • President Harding

    President Harding die of a heart attack on the day of august 2, 1923. People were devistated and doctors said it was caused by food poisoning. And then they say he had a heart attack. Vice president Calvin Coolidge is sworn into president the next day.

    Former president Woodrow Wilson dies on February 3, 1924. Calvin Coolidge is elected president on Novermber 4th. The Nation took another impact on another president dieing.

    The first winter Olympics are held in 16 nations competing. The witner olympics compete with alot of different sports now. People all over the nation train for this competition. My favorite one is the sno-cross racing which is called the winter X games

    TV has just brought out the first taking movie. The movie is called The Jazz Singers. Sound on a tv is amazing now. We have surround sound systems in today date. I know i couldnt watch tv without sound.
  • Henry Ford mass production

    The mass production of the car started by Henry Ford. He had manufactured and sold over 15 million model T's by 1927. He paid his workers double than anyone else. Up to $5 per hour.

    On September 19, 1928 the first Mickey Mouse talking film had came out. It is now a amusemt park in Orlando, Florida. Walt Disney puts on the films. It draws attention to kids all over the world now.
  • Herbert Hoover

    On November 6, 1928 Herbert Hoover was elected president. He was the 31st president of the United States. He held office for less than 8 months when the stock market crashed in 1929 and the U.S faced the Great Depression.
