    States the rights of a person as an individual that no one can take away. This left the monarchy will almost no power.
  • Albany Plan

    An early attempt at forming a union of the colonies as necessary during the French and Indian War.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre

    The killing of five colonists by British regulars. The civilians killed were; Samuel Gray, Samuel Maverick, James Caldwell, Crispus Attucks, and Patrick Carr. The Boston Massacre was caused by a payment dispute that lead to the killing of the five men.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party

    Britain retained the tea tax, partly as a symbol of its right to tax the colonies, partly to aid the financially embarrassed East India Company. The colonists tried to prevent the purchase of the taxed tea, so Gov. Thomas Hutchinson, of Boston, So, a group of colonists led by Samuel Adams , Paul Revere , and others, disguised themselves as Native Americans and dumped the tea from the boats in Boston into the harbor.

    Was also known as the Constitutional Convention. The meeting where the Articles of Confederation were discussed by leaders like Benjamin Franklin, Washington, Hamilton and Madison.
