-Sigbee had desined a Sigsbee Sounding Machine and it was used for hearing sounds in the deep sea.
-This took place in areas such as the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico
-This was also the first ship to be fitted with steel rope for oceanic reasons. -
Gettyburg Expedition
-H.H. Gorringe was the commander of the ship
- They used the Thomas Sounding Machine throughout the expedition
-They had discovered the undersea mountain that was off the west coast of portugal -
Albatross Expedition
The trip took place on a U,S. Fisheries Commission Streamer
-It was commanded by Alexander Agassix
-This was the first ship that was built by the government as an research vessel.
-They traveled the south central pacific and they wanted to require data. -
Submaine Signal Cooperation
-Reginal Fessenden was the ship commander
-They sailed the U.S. Coat guard cutter which is known as Miami
-The Commander used his Fessenden Oscillator to refelct signals off of an iceberg. -

-During the trip, they used line to study the sounds across the Atlantic Ocean, and by doing this they used an echo acoustic sounder device. -

-This expedition was very known due to its use of the Hayes Sounding Instrument that was created by a scientist known as Dr. Harvery Hayes. -

-It was a German ecpedition
-The goal on this expedition was prove the continuity of a mid-atalntic ridge.
-The purpose was to survery the south atlantic ocean by using echo sound devices -
Scuba Systems
- They used a device called the Automatic compressed air aualung
- the device was perfected by Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Emile Gaynan
- This allowed for the opening of expeditions that go in shallow-water areas.

-This Alvin can go depp to about 764ft in depth.
- The Alvin measures 35ft
-The alvin was the first deep sea submersible that is capable of carrying passganers and two observers and a pilot.
