Long's EducationLong attended public school from 4th grade to 11th grade. He was expelled after creating a petition for the required 12th year to graduate. He therefore did not officially graduate from highschool.

Long traveled to Baton Rouge with his highschool debate team. He had never seen a place that he claimed "was all done up." He promised to one day make Winnfield like Baton Rouge.

Huey met Rose at a cake baking contest that he put together. Obviously she was the winner.

Huey passes the LA Bar Exam afer only one year of studies at Tulane University.

Long ran for and was elected as the Railroad Commissioner at age 25. This was his first office.

This was Long's first run for Governor of LA. He came in third, but this would be the last election he ever lost. He spent the next 11 years as governor, senator and presidental candidate.
