    King John
    King John got angry very easily. Right away he started ruling in Ireland but was so bad he was sent home six months later. When John was sent home he was angry so he tried to sieze the crown from his older brother Henery III. When his brother was killed he became the ruler of England. John was such a bad ruler people rebelled against him. Johns army was defeated in Britain. Because of his major loss to Britain he increased taxes.

    John lost to France and this cost England to lose possession of France. He was forced to sign a Magna Carta. He had potential to be something great but couldn't quite live up to the name.

    King Charles was a ruler of three kingdoms England, Scotland, and Ireland. Overcoming his illness that made him very weak he started ruling the Stuart Dynasty in 1625. His 11 year rule was also known as the eleven year tyranny. The 11 year tyranny was a golden age of peace and prosperity. He made peace with Spain and France. Under his rule people could practice any religon they wanted. He tried to provoke a second war. He was later charged with treason and killed.

    Anne Bradstreet was the first ever American poet. Not to mention she was a very important poet. In her poetry she writes about how she got to wear she got to be. She then goes on to write about redemption, death and immortality. She belived that if she wrote poems she would go to heaven and ONLY if she wrote poems.

He came up with a theory on how we as people come up with ideas. He came up with the base of our philosphy theories we use today.

    He was many things througout his lifetime a real estate entrepeneur, a philosoper, and a founder of the English North American colony. Well know for founding Pennsylvania. When founding Pennsylvania he created a charter for it. The charter consisted of freedom of religion, fair trial by jury, freedom from false imprisonment, and free elections. He also made laws for the Indians. The ideas for democracy he set forward were the base of todays US Constitution.

    Andrew Hamilton's birth date is unkown all they have been able to figure out was that it was in the year 1676. Himalton started out teaching then moved on to becoming an attorney. He was a scotish lawyer in 13 colonies. He's best known for the victory with John Zenger which was known as the first victory for freedom of the press. During the trail was where he argued that the jury not the judges should make the decision.

    Baron was a lawyer. When his uncle died he became president of the Bordeaux Parliament. He was later a member of the Bordeaux and French Academics of Science. He wrote the Persian Letters that talked about the wealthy French and the church. His book "On The Spirit Of The Laws" was his most famous book, it was about the ideas on how government worked best. Baron believed all things were made up of rules or laws that never change.

According to him there were three types of government Monarchy, Republic, and Despotis. He believed a government elected by the people was the best kind of government. The best government would consist of a King, Parliament and the judges of Enlgish courts. He wanted desperate branches of government but with equal power.

    Started his career by being in the Coldstream Guards of Britain then moved up to lieutenant colonel. He British commander in chief for the 13 colonies during the start of the French and Indian War. He was also a major General who fought with both British and American troops George Washington warmed him of an ambush on his troops. Braddock didn't listen and he lost hundred of men.

His main hope was to resettle Britains poor people and former prisoners that were in debt in America instead of Britain. After seeing how his friend was treated in jail he created a capaign. Basically saying that many people were thrown in jail for no reason and under horrible conditons in the jail. Many things were changed in the prisons.

    Mary's birth date is unkown except for the year which is 1700. General James Oglethorpe used her as an interpetor. She first started working without pay but then Oglethorpe fully emplowed her. She did well in treates and getting other warriors to take part in the war between the colonsits and the Spanish. She married John Matthews and they set up a trading post that they called Cowpen. It became the center for English deer skin trading.

He was very important in the success of the first awakening. He didn't believe in open communion. New England is a school of theology eriginating from Edwrad's writing and practices.

He started launching projects to better his community such as paving roads and enviromental clean up he thrived on work. He invented the stove and figured out the relation between lightning and electricity. Franklin's testimony against the stamp act persuaded them to get rid of the law.

He became last royal governor of Massachusetts. He selected six times to participate in Indian Conferences. He played a major role in the Albany Congress. He was also part of the Inferior Court of Commin Pleas. He also supposed the Stamp Act.

    George was one of the most important religous figures of the 18th century. He preached at least 18,000 times. The methods he came up with as a boy really brought his preaching to light. He became a missonary to the Georgia colony. The number of people who came to listen to him surprised him. He was different then other preachers. He protrayed the lives of biblical charactes so unlike anybody had ever heard before. He cried he danced he screamed he made his preaches exciting!

    Philis Wheatley was one of the best known poets in America. New England and England publised her poems. She was African American and showed everybody that blacks CAN be artistic and creative and aren't inferior to white people. The poems she wrote were on deaths of important people, friends, or even strangers who helped her in becoming who she was. Even during America's worst times she still managed to write beautiful poetry.

He volunteered to be a spy and cross into the British territory. George Washington heard and rushed call truce but it was too late. He said the famous quote " I only regret that I have one life to lose for my country". He fought for our country and was well remembered.
