    Cars were first invented in 1769. They were nothing like the caars we have today and took almost twice the time to make.They were relevent to our history because they Incredibly changed our way of transportation.

    The radio was invented in 1897. It was first use to transfer mssages. For example, morse code. It was relvant to us because before cellphones it gave us a way to communicate mobily if you were in close vacinity of eachother.

    The great migration was when over six million African Americans migrated from the sothern cities, to the northern cities. They emmigrated due to poor treatment in the south, and because of a want for new life and new jobs. This event was relevant to American history because it had a immense impact on the united states urban life.

    The 18th ammendment was prohibition, which was alcohol being banned. This law didn't last for long because the peoplke begin to fight back. This was relevant because it showed the government that alchohol wasn't the cause of all the bad things that would happen.

    The 19th ammendment made it so that women could vote. It was ratified in 1920. It was relevant to us for obvious reasons, but it also changed the world and way women are treated completley.

    The emergency quota act made it so that an anual 3% of immigrants could be admitted from other countries.One of the only reasons that this was passed was because of the immense amount of immigrants that had come into the country the year before, they had a negative effect on the wages of native born americans. This was relevent to american history because it helped americas set up for the immigration act of 1924.

    The immigration act of 1924 was an act that limited the amount of immigrants allowed to enter the united states. This happened due to the national origins quota, which only allowed visas to 2% of the total amount of people in each natinoality. This was relevant to american history because it not only completley changed immigration, but it cut out immigrants coming from Asia.

    Another time in history where th stock market crahsed. They're are three different times in the 1900's where wall street crashed. They are what triggered the 10 year great depression.

    Black tuesday occured in 1929 and it was when the stock markt crashed. Over 9,000 banks failed on this day. It was relevant because it made it so that you can't buy on margin anymore.

    The 21st ammnedment was passed in 1933. It stopped prohibition, and prohibited drunk driving. It was relevant to us because wthout it alcohol would still be illegal and drunk driving wouldn't be.

    It was when banks took a three day holiday. The holiday ended up lasting longer than three days and the banks couldn't keep up with all of the people panicking. It is why banks are now insured by FDIC.

    The internet was invented in 1958. It was invented almost a decade after computers. It's relevant to us because it has changed having to send letters, and things like that.Now everything can be done over e-mail and such.
