Chen Nu-Yane falls in a crevasse and survives.
Later that day Chen Nu-Yane died from hypothemia. It happened because when he fell some of his clothing was damaged. The damaged clothes didn't hold in as much heat. So, he got cold very fast and died later in the afternoon. -

Scott Fischer was found dead of altitude sickness by Boukreev.

Jon Krackuaer has only ate a bowl of Ramen soup and a few peanut M&M’s in the last 57 hours.
Jon has not slept for 57 hours .Jon also has two separated ribs from extreme coughing. Since he has no more oxygen ,in his tank, his brain has slowed down to the speed of a slow child. So, its hard for him to make decisons. -
Blizzard kills eight people on the mountain.

Lopsang (head Sherpa) goes down and tried to send someone else up to give Scott Fischer another oxygen tank.
Scott Ficsher is running low on oxygen. The sherpa with him (who happened to be the head sherpa) decided that he would go down and get someone else to bring up another oxygen tank to him. While the sherpa went down Fischer stayed on a ledge, but unfortunitly when they found him he was dead. -
Boukreev reached the summit first at 1:07 pm.

Scott Fischer and Rob Hall are stranded on Mount Everest.

For five minutes Jon was standing on top of the world.
Jon Krakuaer was only able to stay at the summit for five minutes. The reason why he could not stay longer was because Harris, while trying to close the valve, opened the valve on Jon's oxygen tank, releasing all of his oxygen. So, Jon had been climbing most of the trip with no oxygen. -
Rob Hall radios down that he is at the south summit.
Rob Hall was staying with another climber, who was stuck, and would not leave him. So, he radioed down and told them what's going on. He also decides to radio his wife. They decided what the name of there baby was going to be,which was going to be born in two monthes. The last thing he said to her was," I'm comfortable and I'm ok." -
Eight people are confirmed dead an Mount Everest.
