The treaty of Versailles was held after the World War one in 1918 and the goal was to get peace. It was held in the Versailles palace because it was one of the best venues only because it was big.

World war 1 ended in 1918 and this happend as many countries defeated other countries such as Germany beating Russia and that caused Russia to leave the war in 1917. On the 11th of November 1918 Germany and America held a meeting to agreeing to ending the war and thats how the war was ended.
